We are a family run kennel located in southern Manitoba, about 70 km south of Winnipeg. We live on a 10-acre rural fenced property, where our dogs enjoy lots of freedom to run, play, hunt and swim. We named our kennel Haven because it means a place of safety, (of refuge) a place where they can excel and reach their full potential. We have a pond for swimming, meadows, fields and bushes to hunt and play or relax. We have the nicest kennel with floor heat for winter, and AC in the summer. Our dogs are house dogs as well, they take turns being pampered, and love to watch animal planet while eating our popcorn or chewing on a treat. Our dogs are born and bred therapy dogs; their social skills are very evident with their loved ones. They are a part of our family, each adding their own amazing unique personalities and cute quirks. We have been breeding Goldens for 15 years, it has been an amazing journey for us. We have grown to love and embrace the breed with passion. We have invested countless amounts of time, resources, this dedication has truly become a way of life for us. The dogs are always in the equation as we plan details of our lives around our dogs, they bring us endless amounts of satisfaction and joy. We follow the CKC guidelines for breed standards, Adhering to the prescribed code of ethics, and professionalism in the breeding and selling our dogs. Our breeding dogs are OfA certified on hips, elbows, heart, and eyes, All our dogs are DNA tested for variants that can cause problems in golden retrievers. with all that information wise breeding decisions are made to ensure healthy socially well-balanced dogs are born and get a great advantage in life might I add also very beautiful and the finest dark red coats with the best temperaments.
