Update Re: Recognition of New CKC Breeds
The Canadian Kennel Club has been informed that a recommendation is being made by the Department of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, to approve the following breeds:
American Eskimo Dog
Barbet
Greater Swiss Mountain Dog
Spinone Italiano
Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog
Toy Fox Terrier
Please note that registration for the above mentioned breeds would occur as soon as we receive official notice from the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada. The date that the breeds will be eligible for competition purposes will be announced at that time.
The Canadian Kennel Club will provide additional information regarding the status of the Parson Russell Terrier, Cane Corso, Coton de Tuléar and Polish Lowland Sheepdog as it is received.
