Attention: CKC Accredited Event Holding Clubs & Event Secretaries
Please be advised that at the March 2012 meeting of the CKC Board of Directors, the Board passed the following motion with respect to Event Supplies. “THAT, the Policy & Procedures Manual, Chapter VI, Section H, Show Supplies, be amended effective July 1, 2012 to read as follows:
H. Event Supplies
a) Upon approval of Judging Panel Applications the club will be provided with a Supply Requisition Form. The Supply Requisition Form will be forwarded electronically; however, it will also be made available on the CKC website.
b) Clubs will be responsible for completing the Supply Requisition Form, and submitting it to the Order Desk at Head Office for processing a minimum of 60 days prior to the first day of the event.
c) The Canadian Kennel Club shall issue the appropriate certificates for each event.
d) The Event Secretary will be required to ensure that the owner/handler of the eligible dog is given the appropriate certificate. The certificate will contain the name of the award and the remainder of the certificate will be left blank.
e) Orders for event(s) supplies received within 3 weeks (21 days) of the event(s) will be shipped, in the most reasonable and cost effective manner. The club will be charged for a courier if required. All requests for supplies ordered within 21 days of the event(s) will be charged a handling fee of $100.00 plus tax.
In order to ensure that your event supplies are received on a timely basis and to ensure that sufficient quantities are in stock, we ask that clubs order their supplies a minimum of 60 days prior to the start of the event. When supplies are ordered within 21 days of an event, forms may not be available and orders are held up in order to print. This then causes other orders to be set asisde so that the late orders can be fulfilled.
The handling fee will only be charged to clubs when the order is received within 21 days of the event(s). The handling fee will be invoiced to club account.
We will continue our practice of not charging for supplies or handling fees, providing the order is not received within 21 days of the event(s).
