The CKC Remembers Heather Y. Logan
Sadly, we report that well-known and respected CKC Life Member of 56 consecutive years and All-Breed Judge, Heather Logan, passed away Monday June 18, 2012. Heather was a long-time, dedicated CKC volunteer on many levels. A friend and mentor to many in the dog fancy, Heather will be missed deeply. Active as a CKC member until recently, Heather was Honourary Chair of the Board of Directors in 2008 and will be remembered for serving the Club as Secretary-Treasurer for a brief period in the early 1990’s when she successfully managed the Club through some times of transition.

Her acumen as an internationally-respected breeder of German Shepherds, Old English Sheepdogs and Basenjis is well known and she was active for 25 years both showing and breeding. Heather’s career as a Judge began in 1962 and she was an All-Breed Judge for 19 years. Her assignments covered Canada from coast to coast and as an internationally-respected judge, Heather accepted assignments throughout the world and was proud to have judged in Mexico, the USA and numerous countries in South America, Scandinavia and Europe.

Heather’s spirited determination, dedication and expertise will be missed and her passing has left a gap that will be hard to fill.
