Our puppies are, and will always be, a beloved extension of our family. They are handled with care and socialized as much as humanly possible from birth until they leave to be with their new family. All of our puppies have their rear dew claws removed, undergo temperament testing, are evaluated for form & structure, are dewormed, microchipped and have at least their first puppy vaccinations before they go to their new homes.
All of our litters are registered with the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club). All of our new puppy owners will receive their first year of membership to the AMDCA (Appenzell Mountain Dog Club of America) and will have their puppy individually registered with the AMDCA, compliments of Sun Meadow Appenzellers. An AMDCA membership ensures that, in addition to the support you will receive from Sun Meadow Appenzellers, you will also have an additional network of support and resources available to you from other experienced Appenzeller owners anytime you need it. Having your puppy individually registered with the AMCDA will provide you with the registration and pedigree papers you need to register your Appenzeller individually with the CKC for its MCN to participate in CKC events.
CKC Member Breeders must adhere to the Code of Practice and Code of Ethics.
