The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) is seeking feedback from its members regarding the revised position statement regarding “Elective and Non-therapeutic Veterinary Procedures for Cosmetic or Competitive Purposes (formerly Cosmetic Alteration)
CKC represents the interests of all CKC members and we encourage you to have your say on this important subject if you are a member of the CVMA. If you require more information or clarification about these practices, please have a conversation with your local veterinarian or vet tech at your earliest convenience.
CVMA members are invited to comment on the proposed position statement until April 21, 2019

As per CKC policy, CKC supports freedom of choice for breeders of purebred dogs so that they can decide for themselves to continue this practice, to promote safety in performance activities and support hygienic animal husbandry.
