CKC Member Breeders are required to adhere to mandatory standards and requirements relating to the proper breeding, maintenance and selling of their puppies outlined in the CKC Code of Ethics and Code of Practice for CKC Member Breeders.

Chesapeake Bay Retriever

    A British brig was shipwrecked off the coast of Maryland in 1807, and among the survivors were two Newfoundland dogs – ‘Sailor’ and ‘Canton,’ a male and a female who grew up to become excellent water retrievers.
