Our family lives on 5 acres near Cochrane, Alberta where we work, and play with our Vizslas, Ruby and Charlie. We have a busy daily life, gardening, raising chickens, and remodelling our country home one room at a time! We have been dog owners most of our lives, but have truly fallen in love with the Vizsla breed for their incredible traits. They are not a dog for the faint of heart….when you own a Vizsla, you go all in! This active breed requires a high level of mental and physical exercise in order to live their most fulfilled life. Even though they are bred to be bird dogs, Vizslas have a well rounded temperament, making great companions, unparalleled competitors in the show ring, or sleek-bodied beauties in agility categories. Our dogs are present with us when we are working around the yard and they go most places with us, whether it be to run errands, or weekends when we are camping/hiking/swimming. These dogs require close physical contact with their owners, truly living up to their “Velcro Vizsla” name. We want others to enjoy this beautiful breed as much as we have.
