NOTICE TO PERFORMANCE CLUBS

This notice is to remind clubs of some of the information that might affect exhibitors as well as some miscellaneous information and updates.

CanuckDogs
Earlier this year the CKC announced that CanuckDogs and Sue Coghlan are now part of the CKC. CanuckDogs will be the source for everything “CKC” with regard to events.

This means that CanuckDogs is being updated on a daily basis with all of the approved event dates and judging panels. For events that are already approved, clubs are permitted to advertise their Judging Panels as “Pending CKC Approval” until December 31, 2021, as an exception that was made due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Clubs should be including CanuckDogs when posting this information.

Further, please remember that in order for CanuckDogs to post unofficial results, they must be provided by the club/event secretary in a timely manner.

Temporary Competition Numbers
All dogs entered in CKC events that are not CKC registered must have a Temporary Competition Number (TCN) before entering into the event(s). Please note that Listed Breeds are not eligible for a TCN. Listed Breeds must have a Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) before entering into an event.

Spaniel Field Trials & Hunt Tests
At the September 2021 Board Meeting motions were passed to amend the Sporting Spaniel Field Trial Rules & Regulations and the Hunt Test Rules & Regulations for All Sporting Spaniels. Effective immediately a dog with a Performance Event Number (PEN) is eligible to enter and compete. The rules will be updated accordingly.

Registration Numbers

With regard to event results, please ensure that all dog registration numbers include the full number, including the prefix if applicable. All registration numbers issued in the new database as of November 2019 include a prefix.

Examples: CK-AB1234567, AK-GU1234567, FD-JE1234567, EN-HJ1234567

Catalogues
Clubs are no longer required to submit 1 unmarked catalogue; however, clubs must provide one (1) marked catalogue for each event (i.e., event number). The catalogue must indicate whether or not the dog earned a qualifying score and/or pass or fail.

Absent dogs and entry fees refunded for bitches in season must be indicated.

Submitting Results
Here is a further list of documentation that must be included with the event results:

• All of the entry forms;
• All of the Judges’ Books/Documents
• The recording fees as prescribed by the CKC;
• The TCN fees for the entries of non-registered dogs;
• The completed Statement of Event Fees Form(s) with the signature of one of the club officers or the Event Secretary, or EventChair (1 for each event number);
• Any other information or reports as may be required by the CKC.

Please also remember that all results are to be received not more than 14 days after the last day of the event. Administrative fees will be charged for non-compliance.

Changes to club events (premium lists, judges, closing dates)
All changes to a club’s event must be sent to Head Office for approval.

Recording Fees
Please ensure that the club is submitting the recording fees for all official classes. For Agility we also require the recording fee for the FOR FUN ONLY.
