Join us virtually for this free, interactive symposium as we look at the challenges, responsibilities and opportunities related to the health and welfare of dogs with extreme conformation, from the perspective of the breeder, show judge and veterinary community, in addition to the pet industry. The symposium is part of the IPFD’s International Dog Health Workshop initiative and represents a key area of focus for CKC and CVMA to support breed health improvement.
Learn about the work that CKC, IPFD and CVMA are doing nationally and internationally to tackle the complex issues regarding the extreme conformation of dogs—particularly brachycephalic breeds—and why multi-stakeholder collaboration is critical to ensure a healthier future for dogs.
We are excited to feature presentations by Dr. Brenda Bonnet (IPFD), Dr. Enid Stiles (CVMA), Dr. Paul Eckford (CKC/IPFD), Dr. Terill Udenberg (CKC), Richard Paquette (CKC), Dr. Jordyn Hewer (Royal Canin) and Dr. Sara Ritzie (Royal Canin). We are also pleased to have CKC Executive Director, Jeff Cornett on board and welcome Dr. Michelle Groleau (CVMA) as our moderator. Don’t miss our panel discussion following the presentations, which will focus on individual and collaborative activities to address key issues on extreme conformation, including a Q&A period.
