IT4YOU, the new CKC computer system, is destined to re-define and improve the online member experience by making it faster and easier to access personalized and pertinent information and online applications.
Recently, the IT4YOU technical team invited approximately 50 CKC members from various disciplines and geographic areas, to participate in the first IT4YOU usability test that focused on a Dog Profile page. The value of a usability test is that the earlier issues are identified and fixed, the less expensive the fixes will be and the greater the likelihood of a successful launch.
This test determines how well members could complete a given task. For example: Where would you find a dog’s pedigree? The results of the test were that 83% of members felt that the items on the page were Extremely Easy or Very Easy to locate.
Test participants also had an opportunity to submit comments, and here is a sampling:
“This will be an excellent service and I am looking forward to utilizing it.”
“Wow! From what I see, I think you are covering all aspects from a breeder perspective. With ease of use, I found it more user friendly than the AKC site.”
“Love the aspect of being able to see points.”
Finally, as this is the last IT4YOU update for 2017, CKC eBusiness Manager Andrew McCallister wants to acknowledge the contribution of the Board of Directors. Their thoughtful analysis and steadfast support is helping to ensure that the IT4YOU project comes together as planned and on schedule, while significantly improving the overall member experience.
