On behalf of the Board of Directors, The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Corinne Walker as the new CKC Director for Zone 8, Manitoba.
Now retired, Ms. Walker worked for 40 years as the Manager of Print Services for the non-profit organization, Sport Manitoba, where she played an integral role in delivering services such as budgeting, marketing and project development for member organizations. Alongside this full-time position, Ms. Walker served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves at the rank of Master Warrant Officer. She developed training plans, instructed members at the national level, and supervised other instructors to ensure a high standard. With this impressive professional background, Ms. Walker brings a wealth of experience that will greatly benefit CKC.
A life member of CKC, Ms. Walker has a strong background in purebred dogs, having bred and shown Rottweilers, French Bulldogs, Bouvier des Flandres, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Manchester Terriers. She was involved as an exhibitor in conformation, obedience and tracking and has also served as show superintendent and show secretary for various clubs in Manitoba. She currently sits on the CKC Discipline and ROE Committees while also serving as event secretary for the Manitoba Canine Association. A recognized judge, Ms. Walker also serves as a Director of the Canadian Dog Judges Association. As a long-time member of the dog community, Ms. Walker will be an asset to CKC, the members of Zone 8 and the Board.
