CKC staff have been working hard to overcome the challenges experienced with implementing the new IT system. Our goal is to keep CKC members informed of our progress based on the information available to us. Below is an update on a number of key areas of our focus:
Backlog
-
Most dog registration applications received by mail between September 30 and October 27, 2019 (during the system outage) can now be viewed online.
-
Most litter registration applications received by mail without accompanying dog registrations between September 30 and before December 3, 2019 can now be viewed online.
-
Litter and dog registration applications that were submitted with missing or incorrect details are delayed as staff work to correct the details before processing.
-
We are currently working on estimating when the backlog will be cleared, and we will share the timing when it is determined.
Certificates and Pedigrees
-
All registration documents for approved registration applications entered into the system are printed daily. These documents are reviewed by staff after printing and are being mailed at a rate of approximately 155 per day.
-
Expedited service for processing dog and litter applications has been temporarily suspended until the backlog has been cleared. Learn more at www.ckc.ca.
Event Results
-
On February 3, staff will begin entering results for events that took place after August 30, 2019, commencing with Conformation events.
