Your Club, Your Committees


We are recruiting new members for CKC committees, and we need your help!

A new year and a new Board of Directors bring a new opportunity for you to engage, support, and improve your club! As a member-driven organization, our committees play a vital role in shaping and supporting the work of the CKC across Canada.

CKC Committees draw together experienced dog lovers with a wide array of expertise from different parts of Canada, to share information and coordinate actions across many areas. An effective Canadian Kennel Club Committee brings a variety of members together to expand viewpoints and share responsibilities to achieve set goals. Committees include subject matter experts who can weigh in on matters that require specialized knowledge.

CKC Members have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, both dog-related and beyond, that can help make the CKC Committees stronger and more effective. CKC aims to recruit members representing different zones across the country across all committees.

We are currently recruiting for the following Standing Committees at full complements; Breed Standards, Breeder Relations, Communications, Event Officiating, Genetics & Medical, IT Steering, and Rules of Eligibility committees. In addition, we have vacancies to fill on the Brachycephalic Breeds Advocacy Committee, Registration Committee and Discipline Committee. For more information on our committees, please visit the CKC website. If you think your experience makes you good match for one or more committees, we want to hear from you!

Please complete this form and send it to ED@ckc.ca by February 16th, 2024, at 5 pm EDT. All candidates will be reviewed, and committee members selected at the March 2024 Board of Directors meeting.
