What’s in Your Litter Kit?

When you submit an Application for the Registration of a Litter by mail or online, CKC issues a Litter Kit by mail. Included with the official CKC registration documents, you will find a Pets Plus Us HeadStart Trial Program brochure for you and trial vouchers for your puppy buyers. CKC has chosen to include the HeadStart Trial materials in your litter kit as part of our commitment to supporting CKC member breeders in educating puppy families on providing the best care for their dogs throughout their lives.

Veterinary care for an unexpected accident or illness can cost thousands of dollars. As your puppy families’ most trusted resource, you can ensure they are educated by having a discussion about veterinary costs and valuable resources such as pet health insurance. Having insurance means that owners can focus on their dog’s veterinary needs and not on their finances.

CKC and Pets Plus Us support CKC member breeders and their puppy buyers with exclusive access to the HeadStart Trial Program. Enrolling your litters for six weeks of complimentary insurance does more than protect them as they leave your care, it sends a strong message to puppy owners about the importance of pet health insurance and being informed about veterinary care costs, particularly the unexpected ones.

Knowing that your puppies are protected throughout the transition to their new homes, and ensuring your puppy buyers are informed about their options for pet health is just like putting peace of mind in your puppy kit.
