Inbreeding Calculator Available for Breeders

Calculating the inbreeding coefficient is one tool amongst many that help breeders make decisions.
 
An “Inbreeding Calculator” was designed by Benoit Bouchard, M.Eng in collaboration with Labgenvet at the Universite de Montreal and Dr. Guy Labbe, DVM  to support breeders when selecting potential mating partners. Along with the Inbreeding Calculator itself, Labgenvet also provides detailed instructions and interpretation information.
 
The Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI), genetic health tests and genetic panel tests are just a few of the tools that will be discussed at the 2019 CKC Seminar: Unpacking Canine Genetics. Please note the last day to purchase tickets to the Seminar is Friday, October 18.
