Attention All Conformation Judges


Temporary policies for Conformation Judges have been approved by the CKC Board of Directors during the COVID-19 Pandemic:
 
Permit Judges
Flexibility for Permit Judges
  • Permit Judges will be allowed to commence next permit prior to the completion of their existing permit however may not accept assignments for new permit until the requirements of previous permit are completed.
  • Permit Judges who have completed a minimum of 3 assignments however are within 5 or fewer dogs to complete that permit, provided they have an approved assignment that was cancelled due to the Pandemic will be approved as completed for their permit.
  • For the purposes of Education, Kennel visits can be either actual or virtual and are not limited to kennels/breeders in Canada.
 

New Applications for Conformation Judging
New Applications for Conformation Judges will be given flexibility on deadlines
  • All judges and applicant judges will be granted a one (1) year extension of any deadlines to complete requirements for their licensing and approvals.


All Conformation Judges
Greater flexibility with deadlines of your 5-year Licensing Maintenance
  • The current five (5) year cycle ending December 2022 is now extended to six (6) years ending December 2023 of the Licensing Maintenance for Conformation Judges due to travel and safety restrictions regarding COVID-19.
  • In addition, an option for education has been added to Category B allowing Actual or Virtual Kennel Visits and not limited to kennels/breeders in Canada. Visit must be a minimum of 5 dogs and minimum 90 minutes.
