CKC Seeks Volunteer for the Brachycephalic Breeds Advocacy Committee


The Board of Directors of the Canadian Kennel Club encourages active participation from the general membership of the Club and requests submissions from interested parties to fill one (1) vacant position for the Ad Hoc Brachycephalic Breeds Advocacy Committee.

Applications should be received no later than August 29, 2022.

To be considered, you must be a CKC member in good standing and possess skills combined with a background relevant to genetics and medical experience, knowledge and understanding of breed characteristics, communications, and other committee experience. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in the veterinary field and working with brachycephalic breeds and brachycephalic breeders.

Ad Hoc Brachycephalic Breeds Advocacy Committee
The Brachycephalic Breeds Advocacy Committee shall consist of five (5) members, at least one (1) of whom shall be a member of the CKC Board, one (1) of whom shall be from the Genetics and Medical Committee.  The Committee shall be responsible for the ongoing education and advocacy of all Brachycephalic breeds, reporting regularly to the Board with respect to its deliberations, findings, and recommendations for the preservation of these breeds.
