CKC Veterinarian Student Award Presented to University of Guelph OVC Student

The Canadian Kennel Club is proud to announce the 2021 CKC Veterinarian Student award recipient as Elise Bonnema from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph.

CKC presents this award annually to a student from one of the five veterinary colleges in Canada (Guelph, Montreal, Saskatoon, Charlottetown and Calgary), to support the continuation of their education in the field of veterinary medicine.
 
With the highest program average of any student entering the small animal stream, student veterinarian Elise Bonnema has chosen to pursue a career in small animal medicine upon graduation.
 
A Phase 4 student at the University of Guelph OVC, the highlight of Elise’s academic year has been the opportunity to gain hands-on experience practicing what she has learned in clinic and hospital settings and observing the ongoing adaptions in the industry due to COVID restrictions.
 
Please join us in congratulating Elise and wishing her all the best in her continuing studies and future veterinary career!
