Lots of Great Changes for Listed Breeds
Effective January 1, 2023, you can enter in any CKC event with a Temporary Competition Number (TCN) if you have not yet registered for your Miscellaneous Certification Number for your Listed breed. We want to make it easier to enter in events!
TCN’s can be easily attained through our customer portal with no fee!
CKC Website Home page> LOGIN> UNDER APPLICATIONS>DOG REGISTRATIONS>TEMPORARY COMPETITION NUMBER.
Once the TCN is obtained it will appear on your portal under MY DOGS>LIST OF MY DOGS>TCN DOGS.
The same TCN must be used for all event entries for a dog until the MCN is received.
AND
Effective January 1, 2023, the following breeds will no longer be issued MCN #’s and must apply for an Event Registration Number (ERN).
Please note: No Action is required if you have an existing MCN Number for your dog, as this is for NEW Numbers effective January 1, 2023.
Beauceron, Border Collie, Braque D’Auvergne, Cane Corso, Coton de Tulear
These breeds are registerable at another Canadian Registry under the Animal Pedigree Act however we still welcome them to participate in our events.
AND
Effective January 1, 2023, MCN litters can be processed on the portal.
Litters will be recorded as MCN litters and not considered recognized litters. All the same criteria for Recognized breed litters will be required. This is great news, no more paper litter apps required, unless you choose to submit to the CKC office for staff to process.
More information will be communicated closer to the launch dates when the portal is available for these new changes.
