CKC Advocacy Regarding CDC Dog Importation Rule


We continue to advocate on your behalf regarding the CDC dog importation rule regarding a 6-month minimum age for dogs crossing into the U.S.
 
In the past week, we have heard back from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in response to our letter to the federal Minister of Health, Mark Holland. They thanked us for raising valid points and concerns regarding the 6-month rule for dogs crossing the border. They will continue to raise our concerns and negotiate with the CDC regarding the 6-month rule. We will look at additional steps CKC can take to continue advocating for changes.
