Call for Applications: CKC Replacement Discipline Committee


We are recruiting for a Replacement Discipline Committee, and we need your help!

CKC members bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, both dog-related and beyond, that can help make CKC committees stronger and more effective. CKC aims to recruit members from different zones across the country for all committees.

This opportunity is a rare one. A Replacement Discipline Committee is only convened “when either a member of any such committee has recused him/herself in respect of a case, or in the Board’s opinion such action is necessary to ensure the impartiality and fairness of the process for any case.”

In October of this year, CKC will have two cases where the current Discipline Committee will be recusing itself due to a conflict of interest. As such, we are seeking members with a background in the legal field or experience working with tribunals, given the quasi-judicial nature of the committee.
