After careful consideration, the CKC Board approved certain fee adjustments at the December 2025 Board Meeting, effective January 6, 2026. 

CKC values our members and the trust they place in us to deliver meaningful benefits, resources, and experiences. The fee adjustments are a result of inflation and rising costs. The changes will ensure that we can continue to provide great value while keeping membership accessible. 

The following fees will increase: 

• Annual Registration fees will increase by 2.5% except the following: 

• Fees for both Litter Registration and Individual Canadian Born Dog Registration 121 days and over from date of birth will increase by 5%; and 

• Transfer of Ownership 121 days and over from date of sale will increase by 5% 

• Registration paper certificate fees will increase by $1.50 to $5.00 

There will be an increase in recording fees for Shows and Trials of $0.10 to $5.00 for events with 125 dogs or less and $0.10 to $6.50 for events with 126 dogs or more. These are club fees and not fees for individual exhibitors. 
 
Basic membership fees will increase by $1 for Canadian residents to $55.00 and $1.70 to $71.00 for non-residents. Membership Plus will increase by $2 to $110.00 for Canadian residents and by $1.50 to $135.00 for non-residents.
