Canadian Agility Team Heads to Portugal

The Canadian Kennel Club is thrilled to cheer on Agility Team Canada as they prepare to represent our nation at three of the most prestigious international agility competitions this July in Abrantes, Portugal:
  • Junior Open Agility World Championship (JOAWC): July 11–13, 2025
  • Senior Open Agility World Championship (SOAWC): July 11–13, 2025
  • European Open Agility (EO): July 18–20, 2025
These exciting events bring together top agility teams from around the globe to showcase speed, teamwork, and canine athleticism on an international stage.
Representing Canada: This year’s Canadian teams feature an incredible mix of young handlers, seasoned competitors, and dedicated support staff, each selected to compete in various divisions. The JOAWC team includes rising stars ready to make their international debut. The SOAWC team reflects the depth of experience in our agility community, while the European Open roster includes a broad representation of Canada’s top agility dogs and handlers across categories.
These events, hosted by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), are not only a celebration of agility excellence, but also of international sportsmanship and the special bond between handler and dog.
