University of Calgary's Giving Day

On April 4, we were proud to be part of the University of Calgary's Giving Day. On this day, donations to the University are matched. Through the CKC's Veterinarian Bursary, our donation made double the impact for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine's Companion Animal Health Fund.

The Companion Animal Health Fund is working on many important projects and research. In 2024, this fund supported the research of comparing surgical patient preparation protocols and POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) in emergency settings.
 
These are just two of many research projects being conducted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. With the support of the CKC Veterinarian Bursary, they continue to find innovative solutions while training the next generation of veterinarians.
