Nominations Are Now Open for the 2026 CKC Board Election

Eligible CKC members have the opportunity to help shape the future of the Canadian Kennel Club by electing the Board of Directors for the 2027–2029 term. Nominations are now open for the 2026 Canadian Kennel Club Board of Directors election.

The CKC Board of Directors plays an important role in guiding the direction of the Club and representing the interests of members across Canada. Eligible CKC members who are interested in contributing their experience, perspective and leadership are encouraged to consider standing for election.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the requirements outlined in the CKC By-laws. Each candidate must be nominated and seconded by eligible members from the electoral zone in which the candidate resides. The nomination paper includes additional information about eligibility, electoral zones and proof-of-residency requirements.

Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. ET on September 1, 2026.

Completed nomination papers may be submitted:

Members submitting nomination papers by mail should allow enough time for them to arrive before the deadline. Nomination papers received after 5 p.m. ET on September 1, 2026, cannot be accepted.

Once the nomination period closes, additional information about the candidates and voting process will be shared with members.

Members are also encouraged to ensure their contact information and voting preference are up to date in the CKC Member Portal. Your voting preference can be reviewed or updated at the bottom of your profile.
