Notice to All Clubs That Hold Sprinter Tests Re: Safety – Eligibility To Participate
The following motion with respect to safety at Sprinter Tests was carried at the June 5, 2026 meeting of the CKC Board of Directors.
“THAT, the Sprinter Rules & Regulations, Chapter 2, General, Section 2.4, Participation, Subsection 2.4.3 be amended effective immediately as follows:

2.4 Participation
2.4.3 An inspection committee consisting of at least two (2) persons who are members of the event committee or designated by the event committee shall inspect each entry, and test dog, for lameness, and fitness to participate. Inspection shall take place prior to any form of wrapping being applied to the dog. In the opinion of the inspection committee, any entry found to be lame, unfit to participate shall not be allowed to enter and entry fees shall be refunded. If necessary, the inspection committee is responsible for measuring dogs to determine their height at the withers. Females in season will be schedule at the end of each event or as the club deems appropriate. Blind dogs may not be entered or used as a test dog. Blind means having no useful vision.
