Meet the Candidates and Learn Why Your Participation Matters

Every CKC member has a stake in the future of our organization.

As a member-governed organization, the Canadian Kennel Club relies on the participation of its members to help shape its future. This fall, eligible members will have the opportunity to elect the Board of Directors for the 2027-2029 term and vote on important referendum items that will influence the direction of the Club in the years ahead.

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in overseeing the organization, establishing strategic priorities and representing members across the country. The individuals elected through this process will help guide decisions that affect programs, policies and the long-term success of the CKC and the purebred dog community.

This year's referendum will also give members the opportunity to vote on proposed By-law changes, the recognition of four new breeds and 48 Rules of Eligibility. Together, these decisions will help shape the evolution of our Club.

Voting is more than a membership benefit. It is your opportunity to have a direct voice in the future of the CKC.

A strong voter turnout ensures that the election and referendum results reflect the diverse perspectives, experiences and priorities of members from coast to coast. Whether you're a breeder, exhibitor, competitor, club volunteer or dedicated dog owner, your voice matters.
