Notice to All Clubs That Hold Chase Ability Program Events
The CKC Board of Directors has approved an amendment to the Policy & Procedures Manual, Chapter VI Shows & Trials, Appendix 2 – Mileage Restrictions, adding a mileage restriction for Chase Ability Program Events.
Effective January 1, 2027, the following mileage restriction will apply:
Chase Ability Program Events
• 250 miles (402 kilometres)
Mileage restrictions apply to the distance required between events of the same type.
All Event Date Applications for Chase Ability Program Events to be held on or after January 1, 2027, will be reviewed in accordance with this mileage restriction. No change is required to any applications previously approved.
When planning future events, clubs are encouraged to review proposed dates and locations before submitting their applications to help ensure compliance with the new requirement.
Clubs wishing to protect their traditional event dates are encouraged to apply for priority dates. Information regarding priority dates, including the application form, is available on the CKC website.
This change will be reflected in the next update of the Policy & Procedures Manual, Chapter VI Shows & Trials, Appendix 2 – Mileage Restrictions.
