The Canadian Kennel Club, in partnership with The Purina National sponsor, Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada, was pleased to present a cheque for $29,283 to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
The presentation was aptly made at the Harbourfront Purina Walk for Dog Guides, a Lions Foundation fundraising initiative, which raises funds to help train Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing, medical or physical disabilities.
The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides works to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them with Dog Guides at no cost. To achieve this goal, the Foundation operates Dog Guides Canada, a national training school and charity that assists individuals with disabilities through specialized Dog Guide programs.
“CKC is thrilled to have been a part of this special event and is pleased to support the important work of the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides” said Andrew Patton, CKC Communications Manager.
