It is with great sadness that The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) announces the passing of Phyllis Wolfish.
Phyllis was a bright light in the purebred dog world, known for her far-reaching and tremendous contributions as a respected judge, breeder, handler, teacher and devoted friend. The memory of Phyllis will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.
Her generous and kind spirit will be remembered by many, including CKC Executive Director, Lance Novak: “I will fondly remember Phyllis as the Past Honourary CKC Chair at the last AGM where she addressed the audience with her customary thoughtfulness and grace. She will be greatly missed.”
A more comprehensive tribute of Phyllis’ legacy will be available in the coming days.
Our thoughts are with Phyllis’ family and many friends during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held for Phyllis on Monday, December 31 at 11:30 a.m. at the Steeles Memorial Chapel in Thornhill, Ontario. Friends may also forward their condolences to Phyllis’ family by visiting
