The Canadian Kennel Club and the Canadian Dog Judges Association (CDJA) are pleased to announce the CKC/CDJA Advanced Conformation Judges Conference, taking place October 3 and 4, 2026, at Hotel Blackfoot in Calgary, Alberta.
This two-day conference will bring together judges and members of the dog community for a weekend of education, discussion, and networking, featuring presentations from respected speakers and breed experts from across the sport.
The weekend will begin with a CDJA Meet and Greet on Friday, October 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to connect with fellow judges in a relaxed setting. Please note this event will feature a cash bar.
Conference sessions will take place on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4. The CDJA Annual General Meeting will be held following the conference sessions on Saturday, and a group dinner open to all attendees will take place Saturday evening. Please note that the group dinner is not included in the conference registration fee.
The 2026 conference will feature keynote speaker Ante Lučin, along with presentations including:

- Judging Rough & Smooth Collies – Nancy Anstruther
- Judging Shetland Sheepdogs – Tracy Robinson
The conference fee is $295 plus tax and includes lunch and two coffee breaks each day.
Hotel accommodations are available at Hotel Blackfoot at a special conference rate of $145 plus tax per night, which includes breakfast.
